Have you ever been numb to God?

i don't know about most people but in my past i have been numb to God and his word not listening or praying i've comprimised my faith just for a little fun <<<(song by mercyme/can't think of it at the moment :)) i still believed in God and i still wanted to love God and all that but i was fighting my flesh fighting my sinful nature fighting satan and i was loosing because i wasn't fighting with God in my corner i was trying to do it on my own and i just kept falling deeper and deeper and i was having fun so i was accually was not putting up to much of a fight... (i'm continually amazed at how many chances God gives us and how loving he is ) it scares me how backslidden i was to know that i was a hypocrite i was a christian but living the life of a non christian i felt bad sinning and all that but i just couldn't stop i knew what i was doing was wrong but i did it anyway in spite of what God said that's what scared me the fact that i could blatently and outrightly disobey God ( and yet he still loves us and will forgive us of anything) (thank you Lord for all your abundant forgiveness and your love) you can't be a christian and sin countinually (knowing what your doing and just doing it anyway) without having a negative affects on your walk with the Lord you can't have him in the sidelines watching as a loving observer but you need him watching your back or backing you up and without pure intentions or a personal realationship with Jesus you will loose the important fight the one of the sinfull flesh (the need for personall (human) fulfillment) <<< you need God in your llife to fight this and you need to trust that God will diliver you form this (and anyone who wants to talk about anything just message me and i will try to help and i will deffently pray....) God can and will forgive you for any transgretions you just have to ask and repent yeah yeah i know repenting is the hard part but it's nessasary without it you don't have God in your corner how do i know this << personal experence yeah Gods there and he's listening and he's grieving for you but your falling into sin you can't have forgiveness without repentance they go hand and hand repentance is in the heart, since you will undoubtably have to deal and fight with your sins on a countiuall basis no repentance is in the heart you need to have accleast good attentions to not sin again thats all God wants the (thought that counts right) and when you have God in your corner he will help you when your tempted... it's amazing to see that Christ was tempted my satan himself on several occations and still did not falter he still stood firm stuck to his guns and followed God even unto death we all need to contually look to Jesus he is such a good role model :) :) (i love you Jesus) just look to Jesus and think wdjd (what did Jesus do? and do that :) i've said this before but God is watching you (ask yourself in any given situation does God like what he sees? something to think about:) i just pray that if your having problems following God and having too much fun following the gods of this world i hope you take heart that God can and will forgive you of anything (he forgave me) so anyway that's all i have to say :) http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=13913225 listen to Grey and i need you to love me... those are the two songs that have really hit me when writting this :)Gb all ~k~

happy easter or is it Happy Resurection Day?

happy easter or Happy Resurection Day?
i know this is kind of early but not to early to be thinking about this :) As easter is comming up i'm thinking to myself, how do people view this holiday? how do you view it what does it mean to you?

for me i grew up in a non religious home there was no talk about God and there was deffinently no talk about Christ :( (not untill i moved to ca with my mom) anyway i viewed easter as a awesome spring day where i got to dress up eat a lot of candy, chocolate bunnies i got to go search for easter eggs and dye the eggs the night before it was all about bunnies baby chicks and eggs? it was almost like christmas except not so many presents. this is something i heard once, we stuff ourselves full of choclate and candy and chocolate bunnies but would you ever think about biting off a chunk of a chocolate jesus? <<< kind of a weird just had to throw that one out there. it just kindof saddens me to see what's become of the two most important holidays/holy days (((hmmm??? holyday???))) both easter and christmas have become something of a secular holidays i'm not saying do away with these holidays but don't forget what they're all about don't forget the reason why we celebrate them we celebrate christmas to celebrate Jesus' birth although i think Easter or resurection day is accually more important this is celebrating what Christ did for us he died so none should perish without him we would all be going to hell (thank you Jesus for comming and saving me) I just wish and pray we can all see the importance of the reason for this Holy Day i hope it will be on everyones minds and hearts what it's all about (God dying for us so we don't have to go to hell) remember Christ when you go out and dye the eggs and eat the chocolate and search for missing eggs :) remember him it's one of his special days it may not be a happy day in some ways, but in many ways it is (for us anyway) Easter is a celbration of life not just in this world but eternal life for anyone who believes and confeses to Jesus and gives there life to him
